The study of books as one of the most important examples of cultural taste of citizens is one of the important issues and major concerns of developing countries to the extent that the importance of reading books is one of the fundamental components in development in the general sense and one of the tools of economic development. therefore; The aim of this study was to analyze the relationship between "cultural capital and cultural taste of Tehran citizens in the field of consumption or reading books." The research method is analytical-descriptive and the research data has been collected in a survey (questionnaire). The statistical population is citizens over 15 years old in Tehran. The sampling method was cluster random in five areas (north, south, west, east and center) and the sample size was selected using Morgan sample size table of 400 people. The validity of the formal research tool and the reliability using Cronbach's alpha (total) was 0.885. The results show Pearson correlation coefficient; Among the independent variables of individual education (0.401), cultural and artistic activities (0.538), interest in reading books (0.602), music consumption (0.595) and film and serial consumption (0.410) and the dependent variable, ie cultural taste of book consumption, there is a positive and significant relationship. The results of one-way analysis of variance test also indicate a significant difference in the cultural taste of book consumption in proportion to the cultural capital of individuals. In other words; The more cultural capital people have, the more and different their cultural tastes will be in different types of books (generalities, society, religion, philosophy and psychology, history and geography, art, entertainment and sports, literature, technology, science, language).

After being theorized by the related authorities in the field, the concepts of social and cultural capital are now used for various analyses and explanations in the humanities. The present research intended to investigate the impact of parents' social and cultural capital on the social skills of junior high school students in Shahreza County (Isfahan Province) in the academic year of 2018-2019. Questionnaires were used as research tools. Using multi-stage cluster sampling, the sample size for the statistical population (n=386) was determined based on Morgan table. The standard questionnaires were the Social Skills Rating System (Gresham & Eliot, 1990) (with the four components of self-control, empathy, assertiveness, collaboration) and the Cultural Capital Questionnaire (with the components of objective, subjective and institutionalized capital) and the Social Capital Questionnaire (with the components of communication with others inside and outside the family and the internal and external family structure) (Akbari et al., 2014). Reliability of the questionnaires measured by Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was 0.86. The findings of this study indicated that there were significant relationships between the parents’ social and cultural capital and the students’ social skills (r=0.69 and p = 0.000 and r = 0.39 and p = 0.000, respectively). Results of the structural equation modeling (SEM) using the Amos software also showed that social and cultural capital was able to explain the social skills (i.e., the criterion variable, R2 =0.46).

Media literacy is a topic that takes into account the power of the audience to understand how the media works and how it works, and wants to turn this analysis into an habit and task for the audience. Accordingly, the present study has examined the relationship between cultural capital and media literacy among young people in Bafgh city. This research has been carried out using survey method and multi-stage cluster sampling on 384 individuals among youth in the city of Bafgh. Data were collected using researcher made questionnaires of cultural capital and media literacy. Data analysis was performed using SPSS and Amos software. Findings showed that between cultural capital and media literacy there was direct and significant relationship (p <0.001). Among the dimensions of cultural capital, the objective dimension had the strongest relationship with media literacy. Analysing the structural equations model, showed that the impact of cultural capital on media literacy is %0.57, which indicates the direct relationship between these two variables.
